Since the New World Order Party was voted into ParlimentAs a percentage, have the number of Traffic/wardens/police/speed cameras, increased more than?
I think the answer is simply yes ..... everyday, the public become more and more subject to enforcement laws .... smoking, dropping litter, parking, driving .. whatever ..... and that gives rise to the 'jobs worth' brigade! Sad, isn't it ... ?As a percentage, have the number of Traffic/wardens/police/speed cameras, increased more than?
Why do you object to increasing the number of Police? You're not a criminal are you?
Edit - Me? Just a concerned citizen who doesn't park illegally or break the speed limits.
Over the last 5 years police strength has increased by 7%, over the same period medical staff (nurses+doctors) have increase by 16%.As a percentage, have the number of Traffic/wardens/police/speed cameras, increased more than?
The number of officers etc have increased in numbers but if you also take into account the number of reported crimes, then there are less officers to deal with the increases.
Cant really include traffic wardens as they no longer exist, the councils now do that role (with venom).
Interesting comments you have made here. In answer to your question, I honestly don't know the statistics but if I did they would probably be flawed just like the crime statistics.
As for your comments about criminals keeping the Police in a job, this is a very narrow minded comment. I personally would love to see less criminals as life for the law abiding citizens would then be a lot safer and more pleasant.
There are other things that the Police do as well as trying to catch criminals. Who do you think deals with sudden deaths, or 'concerns for welfare' (of people who haven't been seen for days or weeks), or missing persons, or road traffic collisions, or animals loose on the streets (as a first point of contact) etc etc, I could go on...
