thanksIs the traffic camera accurate when it caught you?
Unfortunately, the red light camera fines do not differentiate between dangerous and non-dangerous violations. A rolling stop on a right turn will receive the same fine as blowing straight through a red light.
Locations where people are aware of red light cameras can be very dangerous for left turn lanes. Large trucks often block the left turn lights and the person who knows that there is a camera will often slam on the brakes when the yellow left arrow suddenly appears after the truck passes. The sudden stop makes it much more likely that the car behind will hit you.
FYI, the municipalities do not want to clog their courts, they just want your money. If you do not pay by mail and instead choose to fight the ticket in court, many times you will get a message saying that the prosecutor has decided not to prosecute.
One tactic is to contest receiving a non-moving violation for a moving violation (running a red light). Also consider using a gps traffic detection poi to warn you. The following site contains a link to directions for installing a free poi on most gps systems: http://www.a2dvoices.com/realitycheck/
Don't think there is any question about it....But I suspect some AH attorney would be glad to fight it for you,,,for a price. Is the traffic camera accurate when it caught you?
That depends on the red light. If you have a "Turn Right on Red" sign posted, and you make a safe turn, then it cannot be upheld.
If you drive through an intersection when your light is red then it will be upheld.
Yes its dead on accurate but you are welcome to fight it in court but to prepared to pay the court cost and the ticket if you lose and yes you will lose.Is the traffic camera accurate when it caught you?
If you pass a red light you're in the wrong. Plain and simple as that. It doesn't matter if your turning left, right, picking your nose or what....You are in the wrong. As for does the camera always catch people who pass red lights....well I don't exactly want to put it to the test but I would say that the answer to your question is either definately YES or more than likely
