Where does the money go from the tickets given out by these traffic cameras?

and how is this increasing cities revenues?

and what you think of these?

do they give tickets for something as small as accidently going past the white line a bit at a red light?

how common or what other reasons? how expensive and how you fight them? are they debatable much?

btw, which area of the world are you and when they became there?

thanks for your answers!Where does the money go from the tickets given out by these traffic cameras?
Majority of the money goes to the camera company, I think towns get like 40% of revenue something like that. I'm against them, I believe you should have the right to confront your accuser before being ticketed to explain yourself.

Once cameras can utilize discretion I won't have a problem with them.Where does the money go from the tickets given out by these traffic cameras?
With traffic fines as high as $250 in certain locations, it is a huge money maker for sities and towns. The fines are distributed differently in different locations. In certain states, a % of the total goes to the state, the county and the municipality. Others the fine is split between the municipality, and the court system. Any citation is debatable, and can be defended. Doesnt mean that the photo evidence will be overturned however.

I am in NYC.
