Should government run traffic cameras be open to public viewing over the internet?

We pay for them, shouldnt we get to see wrecks or heavy traffic prior to a spinn around town?Should government run traffic cameras be open to public viewing over the internet?
How boring. I think I would rather sit down and read the phone book.

Some but not all of the camera鈥檚 should be open to people especially in real time. Any camera that is for public use can be compromised. That is it, in a nutshell.

From an IT standpoint, making all those cameras directly accessible via the internet is just a very bad idea. Even if they can't be directly broken into, it's still opening them up to DDoS attacks and the like.
No! But i'll tell you what we should do.If you go to infowars.com,there's this add for this spray that doesn't allow the camera to be able to see the lisence plate..You should get some of that..lolShould government run traffic cameras be open to public viewing over the internet?
I think that we should be able to see them not only due to taxpayer costs, but public info. it could even assist in the dept of transportation and private companies and individuals for avoiding traffic problems.
