I think they can if they zoom in enough. But think about it...there are thousands of traffic cameras, how could they possible check them for a beer can??? I mean seriously... They only check for that kind of stuff if they know something suspicious happened at a certain time at a certain intersection....Can traffic cameras spot a beer on my dash?
No, you should be okay I reckon. The camera is trained on the back of the car, and if a traffic offence has been committed then primarily they are only interested in your registration number as identification for your vehicle. The only time you would have to worry is if you were actually stopped by the Police and they spotted the beer on your dash, then they would obviously want to carry out a breathalyser test.
here in nottingham in the UK we had the dubious honour of being the first city with overhead traffic cameras and the zoom on these things is unbeleivable.
one guy tried to claim he wasn't driving when he got tagged for speeding-not only did the camera catch his face but also caught the brand of fags he was smoking by the packet on his dashboard.
from a quarter of a mile away!!.Can traffic cameras spot a beer on my dash?
Why would you have a beer on your dash ?
Put it in the boot and drink it when you get home.
Stupid question with a pointless answer
yes they can they are designed to catch your image for prove in a criminal case and the image must be clear , beer can no problem. Can traffic cameras spot a beer on my dash?
If this is a serious question then the answer is simple.
Stop being one of those morons who think it's ok to drink and drive!
Braindead idiots like you shouldn't have licences let alone cars!!!!!!!!!!
I sincerely hope so, I have had friends killed and seriously injured by drunk drivers. Those who think it is OK to drink and drive should be banned for life from driving.
ask yourself ! whats a beer can doing on you dash in the first place.dont you know its illegal to swig and drive ??
Yeah, the flash on those things make the picture look crystal clear.
Dount unless there was reason to enlarge photo you could tell what was in can.
No. Put it in a paper bag they won't know what it is.
Yes.
