How many lanes of traffic can mobile speed cameras cover?

I noticed a mobile speed camera set up on the side of the road on the way home from work and it got me thinking... if mobile speed camera was set us on the side of four flowing lanes of traffic (same direction), how many lanes can the camera cover? If it covers more than one lane and the traffic is flowing heavily - could it detect accuratly a speeding car in the fourth lane of traffic (being the furtherst from the camera)???How many lanes of traffic can mobile speed cameras cover?
This depends - if it is a black camera with a white flash, it is a panning camera - the lens in retracting when it flashes. So it is every 30 seconds grabbing a stationary picture of all the lanes.

If it is the new type, a digital with no flash, you will not even know it's there, and it continually monitors all the lanes and records your speed. How many lanes of traffic can mobile speed cameras cover?
%26lt;%26gt;Possibly, depending on the technology used. Since it is recording video as well as radar speed, the viewer could pick out the speeding car from the pack. I think, though, that those units generally concentrate on one lane. How many lanes of traffic can mobile speed cameras cover?
1 for each lane
I see those cameras all the time when driving. I don't know how many lanes it can record but i am pertty sure that not everyone that speeds gets a ticket.
