How do the yellow traffic signal cameras work in the uk?

If you passed the stop line on amber you have no problem.

Generally speaking the amber means the same as red. If you can stop safely you should. If you have an advance stop line, i.e a stop line for motor vehicles and another in front for cycles, you must stop at the first one. If you can't stop safely at the first one but you can at the 2nd stop line, then you should stop there. You should approach a green light knowing that it is likely to change, therefore you should cover the brakes on your approach and not go back to the accelerator until you get to the point of no return. It makes the decision much easier. Without wishing to preach, the highway code explains it well. May I also suggest you consider the IAM (http://www.iam.org.uk/)? I am a member and apart from improving driving skills, the car insurance scheme is excellent. I pay less than 拢190 fully comprehensive per year for 1st class cover for a large family saloon. How do the yellow traffic signal cameras work in the uk?
There is no such thing as a yellow traffic signal camera as it is RED they are for.

As for there not being film in them, that is correct as most are digital now and do not ever need film. How do the yellow traffic signal cameras work in the uk?
"i passed the stop line on amber..."

An amber traffic light means 'Stop'.

Why didn't you?
Don't worry hardly any have films in them and they need to be red to trigger. You fine
