What year did the U.S start installing traffic cameras?

As best I remember, about 3 years or so.



Atlanta, Ga, is removing them by October 2009. Accidents dropped 26%, but who cares if they save lives?



Revenues have dropped so much, they can't afford them. They are furnished by private service.

Other cities are experiencing the same and considering removal.
