Are traffic cameras useful for us or is it our tax dollars at work again?

HOW RELIABLE AND USEFUL ARE THEY OR IS IT COPS BEING LAZY AND GETTING PAID BY USAre traffic cameras useful for us or is it our tax dollars at work again?
I believe that this is just another way for them to get more money out of our pockets instead of focusing on major issues. I mean take seat belts for example.... We can get ticketed for not wearing them, when our kids travel on school buses every day without them. Now that doesn't make sense to me...does it to you?
Without surveillance, we'd all be animals. Are traffic cameras useful for us or is it our tax dollars at work again?
If you only obey the law when a cop is watching, the more cameras the better.
All the time cops aren't spending writing traffic tickets is beneficial. If a machine can enforce traffic laws, that leaves more time and man power to deal with real problems. Are traffic cameras useful for us or is it our tax dollars at work again?
Yes, traffic cameras are useful. No, cops aren't just being lazy.

How about we just station all law enforcement officers at intersections and along the sides of the roads so they can stop people who run red lights, speed, and drive recklessly (and endanger people's lives), rather than worrying about assaults, burglaries, domestic violence, homicides, etc.?

I hope you sensed my sarcasm.
