Do you think its good that more speed cameras and traffic light cameras are being installed?

I think they should install more traffic cameras, as to speed cameras, whats the point becuase people get use to where they are, and after the line markng, people jsut speed any way. Only people who don;t know where the camera is comming up ahead get caught, but you can see the signs. I think they should get rid of the line marking then they can catch more people. Also there are alot fo dummy decoy cameras.



Speeding cuaes so many problems, and is not even economical.



I hate when people go tru red lights.Some people don;t care and more cameras need to be installed. Peopel sound so stupdi who argue about speeding and complaining about speed cameras.Do you think its good that more speed cameras and traffic light cameras are being installed?

Yhe put camaras on traffic lights, on every lampost, every road..... put them on the motorway bridages to catch everone who goes over 70mph on the motorway

On public safety yes. But from a legal standpoint no. Somebody could borrow your car and you would get a ticket but if the vehicle is owned by a fleet UPS or FEDEX for example they get off scott free. WE ARE TURNING INTO A NATION OF ONE NATION UNDER SURVEILANCE AND IS THAT THE KIND OF COUNTRY WE WANT TO LIVE IN?
Half if the speed cameras aren't even activated but they do act as a deterant...

The worse things about speed cameras are you become so paranoid about the speed your actually doing, that your eyes are on your speedo, instead of the road!Do you think its good that more speed cameras and traffic light cameras are being installed?

Its an excellent idea for speeders and less accidents and less cars to worry about!

The lines are necessary for the camera, that's how it can tell how fast a car is going. The most effective speed cameras are the average speed checks, because you can't avoid them. I think too much emphasis is placed on speed being a killer when a lot of it is just bad driving in general. They almost give the impression that a driver who is asleep at the wheel but doing 70 is safer than a driver doing 85 who is fully awake.



Definitely agree with the traffic light cameras though. People are way too blaze about going through ambers and reds these days.
Speeding itself is not dangerous...how can you say that a well kept modern car travelling at 80mph in a dry clear motorway is dangerous?Travel on any motorway tomorrow and the VAST majority will be travelling at more than 70mph. As for being less economical....who is paying for my petrol???Me, it's MY choice.Sure, speeding past a school or a village is dangerous and these places should be targeted along with accident hotspots. Instead the money grabbing police place these cameras on long stretches of wide safe roads, ready to catch someone drifting over a ridiculously low

limit. No one minds (or should) driving at 20mph past schools and playgrounds but having to stick to 70 on a motorway or 60 on a good road is silly.These limits were set in the 60s when cars took twice as long to stop as they do now...has the limit gone up with the ability of the cars???..no.

Speed cameras are simply there to make money, otherwise why not place them in accident hotspots.

Cameras by traffic lights are a good idea.They catch bad drivers, not safe, fast drivers.
