Question about cameras on traffic lights?

You know those camera that can take a picture of you if you run a red light, then you get something in the mail later and a ticket.? Can any random intersection have a camera like that or does it need to be posted? I am referring to the state of California..please any help? Or links?Question about cameras on traffic lights?
California code requires either that the individual intersections have clear signs indicating that an automated ticketing system is in place or that there be signs at every major entrance to the city stating that automated ticketing systems are used in the city.

Also, the small cameras without any flash equipment seen on top of almost every signal pole are NOT red-light cameras. They are used to monitor traffic and adjust signal times.
i believe they have to post it, but you never know in California! Im from canada ontario and there all postedQuestion about cameras on traffic lights?
No they are random of course you can easily see them on top of the pole by the red light.
Yes, they will have a small sign around the traffic light with a camera on it. They cant just have a camera without you knowing about it...Question about cameras on traffic lights?
In obtaining your license, you agree to ALL law enforcement methods.
As far as i know every traffic light on a busy intersection will have one. And they never post it.
Most cameras on traffic lights serve as a detection for the lights to change timing automatically.

I know they can also take pictures, but more than likely they are just there to change the timing of the lights.

Welcome to the modern age.
