It's quite likely that they are not cameras at all. They may be motion sensors that activate traffic lights whan a car moves up to the 'stop line' painted at intersections. They look like small cameras. Red light enforcement cameras are bigger and are about half way down the pole. Cheers!
In Houston, the cameras that take pictures of you when you break traffic laws, have a sign posted stating that they take pictures. The others ones, I believe are to just monitor traffic. Though there are some lights that have a small red light on top, and when someone runs it, it goes off, so the cops will know that the person ran it, if there is one in the area.Do the small traffic camera's on top of street lights take pictures or just patrol traffic because?
If they are there for the purpose of traffic violations there is normally a sign near the intersection that says it's monitored for that purpose. There are a lot of cameras that are only there to monitor traffic for purposes of news broadcasts, electric signal functionality, etc.
ALL cameras take pictures. Wither the pictures are used to issue tickets, or even recorded, depends on the individual camera.Do the small traffic camera's on top of street lights take pictures or just patrol traffic because?
They are cameras and cameras take pictures.
