Los Angeles council members voted Wednesday to make an exemption to its self-imposed boycott of Arizona, opting to extend a contract with an Arizona-based company that operates enforcement cameras at Los Angeles intersections -- a program that earned the city $6 million last year. Los Angeles has led the boycott against Arizona over its controversial immigration law, banning most city travel to the state as well as future contracts with Arizona companies.
Maybe they should change the cities name to moneywhores or hypocriteville.LA city councils they will not boycott the traffic camera company, hypocritical isn't it?
Like most liberals they want to pick and choose what they want to boycott. I think Arizona should start the choosing and just shut down the power.LA city councils they will not boycott the traffic camera company, hypocritical isn't it?
LA did not EARN $6 million. The city PAYS $6 million per year for the cameras and collects a bit over $5 million in fines. The NET COST to Los Angeles is somewhere less than $1 million annually. By the way, Los Angeles has only one city council, not multiple councils.
