How are the cameras in police cars mounted?

I know that these cameras are usually mounted on the dash, but can they be moved? Do some traffic officers have cameras mounted on the rear end of their cars? How are the cameras in police cars mounted?
Very securely. How are the cameras in police cars mounted?
The vast majority of "dash cams" are mounted on the dashboard of the car. Some of the new, smaller units can be mounted on the headliner. I suspect the device you saw in the rear window of the patrol car was a rear mounted traffic radar. How are the cameras in police cars mounted?
There are systems that record in multiple directions. Even though they are frequently called dash cams they are not mounted to the dash. They are mounted up near the headliner by a brackey

They can be truned but not easily moved - once mounted they are pretty much limited to about a 360 degree turn
Microphones and cameras depend on the contract approved by the department, who installs them and what brand / model got approved. You would be suprised to learn a lot of department still do not have these , and some only a select few vehicles
