Traffic Light Cameras UK?

I've been caught going through a red light before from a camera, got 3points and a fine... however since i passed my test in april i cant get any more points or i have to redo my driving test :(

Anyway.. i went through a big junction today as the lights were on green(i think) then as i got through the junction they changed to amber, then red. There was a grey traffic light camera but it was facing opposite the junction facing east direction and i went across in north direction.

Hopefully it didn't get me..i was just wondering that because it was facing east it would not have gotten me...

Any ideas?Traffic Light Cameras UK?
if it was facing the other way its unlikely as they tend to concentrate on one lane like speed cameras .Been there with regards to worrying about this problem though . Did you drive back to check there wasnt one on your side aswell ? Well worth it if you didnt right?

This country is a joke with its law for new drivers it creates a 2 tier system for drivers , considering you have taken unlike old school drivers a theory test , hazard perception test , and a driving test i fail to see why you should be treated any different to any other driver when it comes to getting points and its system . How is it perfectly ok for some old fart bumbling along like a 4 wheel driving hazard to get nine points before having to worry and pay less insurance . I feel sorry for the new drivers of today who have been well and truly shafted by their older generations . Everyone knows that most likely group to speed abuse the law of the road is the middle aged male who is either driving a white van or rep vehicle right ????Traffic Light Cameras UK?
its always worth remembering if you get a N I P to be less than cooperative and get advice from those who have figured ways to get round shall we say the law . Never just take it as cutn dry there are ways lots of them to escape losing ones license . Remember the law is an *** .

These cameras are aligned to snap your car from behind as you pass through the junction. The situation you describe won't have got you. If it WAS a red light camera it would only have got eastward-heading traffic.

Just to confirm the situation, if you get 6 points in the first two years as a new driver you don't just have to take your test again. Your licence is revoked completely, you'll have to obtain a new provisional, and abide by all the provisional rules until you pass again. Be careful . . .
I'm with Bardic on that one - accurate answer
