Do traffic video cameras give tickets?

Yes, but just a fine for the registered owner of the vehicle.

You could have given your car to your friend for the day, or there could be several people insured on the same car, so they have no way to tell who was driving the car. There won't be any demerit points or anything like that.Do traffic video cameras give tickets?
I believe the traffic video Camera by itself cannot generate the tickets. It is the post processing which may lead to generation of tickets. Some video/image processing utility detects an event and trigger the action.
The cameras don't but police do. I know what you mean, In Europe they provide positive evidence to issue a ticket, and I believe it's stating to happen here in the US.Do traffic video cameras give tickets?
Sometimes, why?

Did you run a red light or something?

Well it really is just whether they look at all the video from that day. Which i really do not think they will do. They usually do not give tickets.
You did smile when those light flashed ? Yeah you get it in the mail.

Do pay it as it goes bad to much worse if you blow it off like that light you went through.

Price of life in the city.Do traffic video cameras give tickets?

Yes they do. The government mails tickets to residential houses.
